Flatbedding Suburban Edge Zones

flatbeding the suburban edge zones
Images of landscape made with an A4 scanner that are ignorant of the coded vision that a lens and camera automatically bring to a subject. None of the conventional landscape signifiers exist; horizon, sky, time of day, angle of view etc.
Assembled and printed they become a 1:1 vision
of a contemporary suburban landscape: not the ordered lawns and smooth asphalt streets but the marginal zones at the edge of suburbia where dubious behaviours are played out. Images that are representations of the
'no-mans-land' that exists at the verges of the
urban environment.
